Alpina HR Services is looking for a consultant with 3 to 6 years of experience in consulting, where knowledge of the Financial Services industry is needed. He or she knows how to tackle business problems using a team approach and utilizes analytical frameworks to come to the proper conclusions. In addition the ideal candidate has crisp communication skills and supports the goal to help push our client to the top of the European professional services industry.

Engagement Delivery
• Work closely with the Engagement Manager and the client to analyze and structure the problem, design questionnaires and other instruments for data collection
• Conducts interviews with clients to gather the data and designs solutions for the clients
• Serves as the “analytical engine” of the engagement team

Business Development

• Working with Managers and Principal to prepare proposal material and other collaterals in pursuit of new business
• Acts as a focal point for sharing of artifacts and knowledge management among internal stakeholders of our client
• Participates with other groups of our client in pursuit of new business

Practice Development
• Participates in research and thought leadership activities
• Develops awareness of and improves practice collaterals
• Attends workshops and seminars as part of our clients marketing activities
• Participate in internal “Service Offering Innovation Teams” to further strengthen our clients market position

Skills & Experience
• Approx. 5 years experience as an analyst/consultant in strategic-/process consulting companies or information-technology service
• Prior experience in managing strategic IT projects (with a heavy involvement in solution design and consulting)
• Past experience in business development will be an advantage
• Exposure to the onsite-offshore model of global service delivery will be highly beneficial
• In-Depth knowledge of the application- and business process “global delivery” industry
• Understanding of the techno-functional aspects of applications and business processes
• At least one “spike” i.e. deep expertise in the technology and business landscape, preferably in the Financial Services industry
• Knowledge of analytical methods (e.g. Pareto Analysis, decision trees) that help in addressing unstructured situations
• Understanding of cultural differences in the workplace across various countries
• Highly proficient in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Access, and other tools that are typically used in Strategy Consulting
• Strong skills in formal communication and presentation
• Fluency in German and English is essential, other languages would be an asset

Qualification & Certificates
• Masters in Business Administration (or European Masters) from a premier institute with specialization in Information Systems or advanced degree in Information Technology
• Any other relevant degree
