Intellectual Property Patent Manager
Reporting to the Patent Director, our client is looking for a commercially-minded qualified Patent Attorney with a keen desire to work in-house. The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing innovation from various functions within the company. Supporting the traditional business and the Emerging Products team, the role involves innovation capture, monitoring and landscaping, advising on third party patents and conducting Freedom To Operate and Prior Art searches. In addition to extensive exposure to various internal functions, the role involves instructing external patent counsel in a range of jurisdictions. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the wider business and will be exposed to all aspects of product development as well as working on projects relating to the supply and purchase of component materials and the launch of successful products. The successful candidate will also be required to deliver regular training sessions to employees with a focus on increasing patent and IP awareness amongst a diverse range of functions.
Qualified Patent Attorney with at least 2 year post qualification experience
University Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics or Physics preferred
University Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics or Physics preferred Qualified Patent Attorney with at least 2 year post qualification experience within a similar position Previous in-house experience a distinct advantage Comprehensive knowledge of Patent and Design law
