Our client is an international biopharmaceutical company developing therapeutics based on recombinant DNA technology. The international Medical Writing Unit of the European Headquarter based in Central Switzerland, is looking for a confident and experienced
Scientific Information Manager
Main responsibilities

  • First-round editing, proof-reading, formatting, basic literature and information searches
  • Lead of training for affiliates and HQ staff in reference management and publications systems
  • Developing congress posters and managing printing by agencies
  • Facilitating final Publication Approval (FPA) comment-only review of Investigator Sponsored Study publications
Your key activities are
  • You perform reference & information searches and collect and obtain copyright permissions for figure/table reproduction
  • You are responsible for the accurate and first round editing of affiliate and external publications
  • You do the proof reading, styling/formatting, copy-editing, data controlling of scientific publications and Health Technology Assessment submission documents
  • You are responsible for the submission process
  • You complete the layout, drawing and editing of congress posters and figures
  • You liaise with printers, authors and Publication Managers to coordinate print/collection/shipping of congress posters and mini copies
  • You submit affiliate publications for FPA and you update publication records in CAPTURE
  • You audit and update EU HQ CAPTURE records
  • You submit and track English-language publications through Copyright Law review

Your profile

  • At least 2 years of editing/proof-reading experience, ideally allied to the pharmaceutical industry
  • English writing/editing skills equivalent to those of a native speaker
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of using publication systems
  • Ability to use Adobe Illustrator to create posters and figures
  • Expertise in using Word, Powerpoint and Excel

This position covers a maternity leave and is limited from 1 stof Sept 2016 until 30 thof April 2017.
