For our client, a successful, very international mining and
trading company with its trading office in Zug/Switzerland,
we are looking for a motivated, qualified candidate as

Sales Manager of Export Sales Department (E/R)
Steel Industry

Main Purpose
The Sales Department is responsible for sustaining and
developing the day to day selling activities of the Export
Sales for a certain business field, representing the
commercial interests of the Company. This includes
developing sales strategies in line with the company’s
growth plan, identifying new business opportunities and
building long-term relationships with the aim to maximize
market presence and increase profitability.
The Head Export Sales ensures the successful distribution
of Billets + Pig Iron sales in export markets and generates
growth and profitability by developing new business.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating, effecting and managing all the export sales
from the production company
- Identifying and developing sales to new markets and
- Ensuring full monthly export allocations are sold at the
best possible price and terms to the group
- Monitoring and analysing current and future trends and
providing market and price information to the Marketing
- Managing relationships with the customers and maintaining
market presence
- Suggesting and aiding implementation of new products
- Monitoring and coaching team members to ensure
departmental goals are met
- Managing the department including meeting budget targets
as well as financial and sales targets

Professional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Degree in Engineering (Metallurgist), Marketing or Finance
- Thorough understanding of Long Finished Steel Products
and at least 3 years industry specific sales or trading
- Knowledge of production methods of steel and steel grades
and good logistic understanding
- Excellent verbal and written command of English and
Russian (mandatory) any other language is of great
- Strong demonstrated interpersonal skills, preferably
previous people management experience
- Strong customer focus and ability to influence and
- Self-confident and an ability to take the initiative and
work independently
- Strong team player with good problem solving skills and
ability to prioritize work load to meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel on a regular basis
