Our client is a sucessful Trading company, part of a large
vertically-integrated mining company with operations in
Russia, North America, Europe and Africa. It is one of the
top producers in the world.
Main Purpose

This position is based in the Sales Organisation
Switzerland, direct report to CEO.

The Sales Director ensures the successful distribution of
Plates products (production / mill in Italy) and generates
growth and profitability by developing new business. Other
responsibilities include continuous monitoring and
reviewing of team members’ performance and achievements to
ensure maximum effectiveness of resources.

Key Responsibilities

- Managing and directing sales at the mill and export sales

- Developing pricing strategy, including discounts, terms
and conditions and long term partnerships

- Establishing and developing sales to new markets and
identifying new niches for the mill,

implementing strategies for expanding customer base and
increase profitability

- Overseeing key customers relationships

- Monitoring and analysing current and future trends of the
market

- Providing Head Office with strategic marketing reports
on business

- Monitoring and coaching sales team staff to ensure
departmental goals are met

- Steering agents ‘organization.

- Member of Committee at Eurofer, Düsseldorf

- Support purchasing team, namely on market developments
and sizes and grades to order

Your profile

- Commercial and Marketing expertise in the steel industry,
flat products

- Deep knowledge of trading techniques

- Ability to solve the claims

- Expertise in managing medium / large sales organizations

- Steel manufacturing technical knowledge

- Knowledge of major macro-economic drivers regulating the
commodities` markets

- Excellent verbal and written command of English, Italian
(mandatory), Russian would be an asset and any other
language is of great advantage

- Strong communication skills to articulate clearly and
concisely and numeral literacy are very important

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and flair for IT systems

- Accurate and efficient working style with good attention
to detail
