The Nestlé Research Center (NRC) located near Lausanne, Switzerland is one of the leading research laboratories in food and nutritional sciences. Nestlé Research Center conducts up to 60 clinical trials in the areas of healthy nutrition, medical nutrition, metabolic disease, gastro-intestinal health amongst others. To complete our Nutrition and Health Research Department at our Nestlé Research Center in Vers-chez-les-Blanc (Switzerland) we are currently looking for a Gut Epithelial Barrier Specialist.
As a Gut Epithelial Barrier Specialist, your main responsibilities will be to build and manage research activities in the gut barrier field and translate scientific findings into business applications.
Provide up-to-date and develop scientific expertise in the domain of nutrition and gut barrier integrity
Manage and deliver in research activities from NRC on-going projects
Propose new ideas/nutritional concepts and manage new projects with business impact in the aerea of expertise
Strengthen the internal and external network in the area of expertise
Coach and develop technicians and peers in the field of expertise
Support the design of Clinical studies and set-up in vivo and in vitro models and methodologies as required
Assist business in translation of scientific findings, communication and patent strategy in relation with the area of expertise
Education and experience
- PhD with post-doctoral experience and deep knowledge on gut barrier physiology and on clinical and/or preclinical methodologies in the area
- Experience in project/stakeholder management
- Knowledge on nutritional interventions in particular lipids, and in food industry would be a plus
- Team player
- Fluent in English, any other languages is a plus
- Good communication skills
