Factory Training Manager
We are looking for an experienced Factory Training Manager toprovide an effective and proactive learning and development service to team members, staff and managers to ensure compliance requirements are met and people are equipped with the relevant skills and competencies to meet business requirements. Proven experience within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of manufacturing operations.
A solid history of over-achieving within a training and development role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency of training, coaching and assessing others.
Knowledge of working within multi-functional teams.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal essential
Experience of identifying training/development needs, providing solutions and evaluating effectiveness.
Training session preparation and delivery skills.
Purpose of the role
Responsible as Education & Training Specialist on Factory ET Pillar – provide technical expertise to support and guide ET Pillar team and WGs through ET methodology.
Ensure Factory adherence to required compliance training standards. Target of 97% compliance level. Plan, monitor and track adherence to plan.
Responsible for Factory induction programme – CPUK employees and agency workers – ensure effectiveness and that it meets required customer, regulatory and Company requirements.
Ensure Factory training systems for technical training (skills matrix) are fit for purpose such that operational requirements for suitably trained employees are met.
Lead, support and train/develop Factory trainers.
Provide governance for SOP standards and reference material/manuals to aid learning.
Evaluate effectiveness of Factory PDRs – track and monitor adherence, analyse data and support improvements eg ensure PDPs are acted on and that appropriate follow up action is taken re high performance and underperformance. Ensure there are consistently used systems for identifying individual and team training needs.
Ensure training needs resulting from PDRs are recorded as training plans and that they are reviewed regularly. Provide guidance to line managers on appropriate learning and development interventions to meet training needs.
Deliver required activities on LDv Pillar.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development activities for benefits to the business and value for money. Implement improvements.
Satisfy ISO and customer audit requirements; H&S and any other statutory training requirements.
Produce and deliver training programmes and other in house training as appropriate. To include team development activities, induction training, soft skills such as coaching and train the trainer.
Act as coach/mentor to individuals to aid learning as required.
Share resources and ideas through regular contact with the training team. Actively network with the NiM MCS group to pool ideas – contribute to and share in NIM activities.
Ensure all training records are maintained and kept up to date
