The Nestlé Research Center (NRC) located near Lausanne, Switzerland is one of the leading research centers in food and nutritional sciences. Nestlé Research Center conducts up to 60 clinical trials in the areas of healthy nutrition, medical nutrition, metabolic disease, gastro-intestinal health amongst others. This work is done either at our state of the art Clinical Development Unit in Lausanne or with CROs. Demonstrating excellent analytical, science development and communications skills, you will be driving the nutrition knowledge leadership by developing and executing dietary intake and related lifestyle variables in pregnant women, children & adult studies. In this role, you will advance the business by applying the data to engage Key Opinion Leaders, support nutrition policies development, apply findings to inform public health agenda, guide Innovation & Renovation and sound communication to consumers and health professionals
Plan and execute studies to better understand dietary intake patterns, nutritional needs and related lifestyle factors that influence healthof infants, toddlers and children.
Contribute to and influence development of scientific publications &influence the Innovation & Renovation pipeline for products and services.
Leverage the study results and knowledge produced by NRC at relevant scientific congresses/events internally and externally to drive Nestlé recognition as the leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness company.
Initiate data analysis to address key business issues and questions related to dietary intake research and nutritional landscaping.
Further build knowledge & develop expertise in the area of dietary intake research, epidemiology and nutritional landscaping.
Translate the knowledge and relevant scientific/technical inputs & transfer the learnings within Nestlé to marketing teams, product technology & R&D centers, Strategic Business Units and R&D Operations to inform appropriate actions and decisions.
Represent Nestlé Research Centre at internal and external global/regional scientific meetings/conferences
- Actively transfer nutrition knowledge to the Nutrition Network members
Education and experience
Ph.D. in Nutrition Science, Nutrition Epidemiology, Public Health or other Life Science field with nutrition specialization
Experience in conducting dietary intake research, including study design, methods and analysis. Experience with dietary intake patterns / indexes is a plus
Track recordof publications in peer-reviewed journals
Advanced knowledge of the literature and issues related to nutrition, epidemiology, health behaviors and public health
Experience in the food industry or public health organization is considered a strong advantage
- Experience in in Brazil or India or respective background is an asset
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills in English & another languages is a plus
