For the SwissFEL project we are looking for a
for Experimental Station A (ESA)
- Develop and extend XFEL experimental techniques in ultrafast chemistry and biology
- Contribute to the design, commissioning and further development of Experimental Station A
- User support for experiments at ESA
- Original research in time-resolved phenomena
- Coordination of the work with internal and external collaborators
- Communication with academic and industrial partners
You hold a PhD degree in experimental physics, chemistry or biology with expertise in ultrafast X-Ray techniques. Sound knowledge of X-Ray spectroscopy, scattering, serial femtosecond crystallography and/or other related techniques. The suitable candidate has an excellent research publication record. Highly developed communication skills and willingness to work in a diverse team of international scientists, engineers and technicians are a plus.
