Clinical Science Leader – Endocrinology / Clinical Pharmacology / Toxicology

To support the Clinical Science Team within the Medical and Scientific Affairs organization of our Business Area Centralized and Point of Care Solutions (CPS), we are looking for a Clinical Science Leader in Endocrinology / Pharmacology / Toxicology and/or Endocrinology.  Key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
  • Supporting working groups and participating in initiatives/task forces with focus on development of clinically differenting IVDs in clinical practice
  • Translate clinical diagnostic needs into performance requirements for diagnostic tests (target product profiles)
  • Develop design and content of clinical study protocols in collaboration with Clinical Development Teams
  • Design and implement clinical development plans in assigned disease areas
  • Supervise and review CPS's post-launch investigator initiated studies within CPS's medical strategic portfolio in assigned disease areas
  • Support intellectual property (IP) strategy including IP derived from investigator initiated studies
  • Liaise and communicate with CPS’s Life Cycle Team functions and Affiliates on scientific, methodological and clinical components of Roche sponsored and supported studies
  • Support in preparing relevant Clinical Development documents (e.g. clinical development plan, design validation plan, study protocol, study report, study publication, informed consent, study site qualification forms

    This role requires following qualifications:
    • Natural science or medical degree (MD or PhD or PharmD) preferred
    • Work experience in clinical research, design and conduct of clinical studies
    • Experience in clinical pharmacology, toxicology, endocrinology and/or metabolism area
    • Knowledge in immuoassays, mass spectrometry, biometry and statistics  is a plus
    • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
    • Ability to build and foster multidisciplinary global relationships
    • Ability to interface with physicians and other clinicians on an international basis
    • Willing and able to travel 25%
