The Global Strategic Insights & Analysis (SIA) team provides high quality insights on the pharma portfolio, brands and the market environment, leveraging internal and external resources and performing robust forecasting, competitive intelligence, primary and secondary market research  to inform key business decision by our stakeholders.

In this position, you will be joining the Industry Analytics team in SIA, which provides cross-functional analytics input on a broad range of industry, portfolio, biosimilars and partnering analysis to various stakeholders within Global Product Strategy (GPS) as well as other global departments.

As a Senior/Partnering Strategic Insights Manager, you will working within the Partnering Strategic Insights team (3 Insights Managers and 1 Group Lead), providing critical support to Roche Partnering (RP) throughout the commercial assessment of external opportunities.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support Roche Partnering (RP) deal teams to value the commercial potential of partnering opportunities and provide in-depth analysis to drive effective and informed decision-making throughout the assessment process
  • Support the forecasting and valuation of assets (provide high quality valuations of post-due diligence partnering opportunities, leveraging internal knowledge, syndicated market research, and publicly available competitor and market information) and the running of scenarios during valuation and negotiation
  • Facilitate alignment on market and product assumptions between GPS and RP, working with Roche Partnering and cross functionally with stakeholders to deliver a highly robust, aligned commercial assessment
  • Present & defend commercial assessments to BRC (Business Review Committee)

    • A business or science degree,  a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the pharmaceutical industry with at least 3 years in forecasting/market research/analytical roles (an MBA or other related graduate-level degree is a plus)
    • Excellent analytical skills and experience in working with excel-based models is a must – including conducting markets assessments and building long-term product forecasts
    • Previous experience working with business development and conducting financial analysis (for example, Discounted Cash Flow valuations) is a plus
    • Excellent communicator, and fluency in written and spoken English is a must
    • Experienced in working in high-paced and high-volume, cross-functional environments, as well as a strong team player with the ability to work as part of a cross functional team
