Roche Centralised and Point of Care Solutions (CPS) provide integrated Cobas branded solutions primarily for blood testing in commercial and hospital labs, medical centers and laboratory networks. Our products and solutions support health care professionals in clinical decision making in a wide field of indications including, cardiovascular, hematology, infectious diseases, metabolism, oncology and women’s health.
The Purpose of the position “ Head LifeCycle Finance Management” is to drive commercial and business performance of the different LifeCycle Teams and business segments and be the focal point for the LifeCycle Teams (LCT) in all finance aspects:
  • Develop the LifeCycle Finance function further, strengthen the interactions within Finance across the different groups with the LifeCycle Teams and strengthen particularly the interactions with the Regions, Affiliates and global functions
  • Provide Leadership to the LifeCycle Finance Function in CPS, e.g. setting priorities, providing guidance, explaining decisions and the reasons behind
  • Continuously improve the business planning and budgeting for LifeCycle Management (LCM), use target setting to focus on key business priorities and ensure appropriate resources are dedicated to these key focus areas; contribute to the development and execution of stretch and delivery agenda, risk assessment as well as improvements in planning quality and reliability, e.g. panel planning
  • Continuously improve reporting and performance tracking to the needs of the organization, in order to take actions and drive decisions; Define and seek alignment for Performance Indicators
  • Develop business cases that highlight key items, show the risks and that serve as input to strategic discussions and decisions. Ensure accurate financial assessments of business opportunities and support their implementation. Provide financial guidance for contract negotiations
  • Lead or participate in Business Area or Diagnostic (Finance) wide related projects and initiatives.

    The requirements to the candidates are the following:
    • University degree in Finance or Business Administration or equivalent with at least 10 years work experience and a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position in Finance
    • Demonstrated Leadership skills in line with Roche Values and Leadership Commitments
    • Track record in shaping businesses and improve performance of the businesses
    • Experience in local and global positions is required; experience in Emerging Markets would be preferred
    • Ability to communicate with impact in English, adapt communication style to different cultures
    • Proven track record in building and maintaining trustful relationships with business partners
    • Strong business and finance acumen and ability to operate in complex matrix organizations
