As the Head of Total Rewards for Roche Diagnostics International AG (RDI), you design, review and implement site compensation and benefit policies and processes to meet the needs of the business and in line with Global standards. You will also be responsible for local implementation and ongoing adherence to global Recognition, and Performance Management processes and systems.


The position comprises the following responsibilities:

  • Leads the Total Rewards area at site level ensuring that all relevant operational and organizational objectives are achieved
  • Drives and enhances the effectiveness and relevance of related policies and processes. Identifies areas for improvement and/or standardization and potential alignment across site and within Switzerland
  • Ensures harmonization / alignment with Roche Group level Total Rewards principals, processes and systems
  • Acts as a strategic partner to HR and Line Management functions to provide guidance and leadership in all Total Rewards related matters to align with organizational priorities
  • Management of the annual compensation review cycle, ensuring compliance, data reporting and timely payroll activation
  • Governs off-cycle pay changes and promotions across the site
  • Positively influences key stakeholders at site, regional, divisional and group levels to ensure needs of RDI are appropriately reflected in solution design and service delivery. Participates in Group Total Rewards related projects
  • In addition: Member of the Site HR Leadership Team

    For this position, you bring the following qualifications:

    • Excellent track record in Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits) and Performance Management preferably within a large international organisation
    • Conceptual, analytical and result-oriented approach, combined with the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and with an “hands-on” attitude
    • Ability to influence diverse stakeholders at senior level
    • Strong communicator able to translate complex compensation concepts and terms into business relevant consultancy
    • Capable project manager and people leader able to develop colleagues, manage multiple activities and set appropriate priorities
    • Fluent English both written and spoken, German advantageous
    • Good user knowledge of SAP R/3 HR, high level of MS Office literacy (especially Excel)
    • University degree in Business Administration, HR, Finance, or equivalent education with an
