Business Analyst & Project Leader E-Commerce

The e-Commerce Business Analyst and Project Leader will lead and actively contribute to projects of different business units within SWISS to guarantee optimal swiss.com integration. The main tasks are the analysis and definition of the business needs, the elaboration of solution scenarios including user experience aspects, the specification, requirements documentation and testing until successful completion of the project / functional cutover. This position reports to the Team Leader Platform Development within the e-commerce department.

Your Duties

  • Analysis of the necessary changes to the platform and e-commerce specific surrounding systems, ensuring the new service integration is meeting the business and strategic requirements of e-commerce
  • Gathering of requirements and detailed specification thereof following the e-commerce development process
  • Financial evaluation of the business requirements including cost / benefit analysis
  • Author documents such as business requirements, system specifications, technical specifications
  • Review the day-to-day progress of the project(s) and release initiatives with regard to time, budget, scope and quality, providing all time high quality integration support
  • Coordinate test scripts creation and execution with responsible test team, sign off implemented functionalities and products
  • Responsible for the successful functional cut-over, as well as the quality of the solution and related deliverables
  • Produce documentation for the application responsible and educational materials for end-users to facilitate user understanding and adoption

Requirements

  • University degree or commercial education in the airline or travel industry
  • Strong project experience in an online or e-commerce unit
  • At least 3 years of proven experience as Business Analyst and Project Leader preferably in the airline or travel industry
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
  • Strong analytical skills, with high attention to details
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experienced at and willing to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Conflict management
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Stress tolerance
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and German
  • Willingness to work in non-office hours if need be
