Your responsibilities

In this challenging position, directly reporting to the Group Head of Credit Risk, you are in charge of assessing and reviewing - independent of the different business lines - all risks related to the Swiss credit portfolio. You conduct a thorough analysis of all transactions both at origination and annual review, allocate appropriate risk ratings and formulate subsequent recommendations to the credit authorities. The permanent monitoring, controlling and proper reporting of risk exposure as well as the strict compliance with internal and external regulations are part of your daily duties. In a nutshell: You help supporting the business lines to get credit transactions approved, and are instrumental in keeping the Swiss credit portfolio clean.

Your identity

You have a robust higher educational background, coupled with some practical experience (2-3 years) in the areas of credit risk assessment in a leading bank. Familiarity with the rating processes, working tools and different methodologies in the credit risk area is mandatory. You have a well- developed sense for risks, strong analytical- and modelling skills, a sound judgement, writing-to-the point style and ability to draw conclusions. Your thorough understanding of the cash flow and credit cycle is crucial in this job. You are used to work under pressure and tight deadlines, always keen on learning new things, flexible, resilient and open to quickly adapt to new situations. Fluency in English and German, both written and verbal, is a prerequisite.

Your prospects

After having gained your first field experience in the credit risk sector of a bank, you are seeking a job enlargement alongside increased responsibilities. The lean and mean structure of this bank will give you exposure to a wide range and nature of transactions in the fields of Private Banking, Corporate Banking and Trade Finance, which are often segregated in larger banks from a risk assessment point of view. In case of interest you could also gain experience in the analysis of financial institutions. Are you ready to explore new horizons in a bank with a clear and dedicated strategy, a long history in Switzerland and a human touch? Then, seize this unique opportunity to become part of a highly professional and motivated team.
