Your Mission and Responsibilities
Nano-architecting bioactive surfaces and interfaces aiming at sensing and drug delivery through biochemical and physical methods.
Characterize nanostructure and function of the new materials using routine and non-routine methods such as biochemical methods, spectroscopy, microscopy and scattering techniques.
Collaborate with internal and external groups in chemistry, biochemistry and biology, X-ray analytics to advance functional surfaces.
Communicate results at meetings, conferences and through high-impact publications.
A PhD and a demonstrated expertise in surface and interface chemistry: biophysical chemistry, physical chemistry, biochemistry, supramolecular chemistry.
Experience in the design and characterization of bioactive nanomaterials and surfaces.
Advanced knowledge in surface chemistry as well as bioanalytical and biophysical techniques (i.e. HPLC, MS, NMR, X-ray or neutron scattering, microscopy techniques).
Demonstrated experience in publication of research findings with an excellent publication record, commensurate with opportunities.
Fluency in English (written and oral) is a must, German would be a benefit.
