The Center for Adaptation to a Changing Environment(ACE) at the Department of Environmental Systems Science, ETH Zurich, invites applications for
Two postdoctoral fellowships in the areas of ecology, evolution and genomics
ACE was establishedto connect the rapidly increasing availability of genomic information to ecological dynamics, as mediated by rapid evolutionary change. Postdocs, graduate students and faculty interact in a single center located on the ETH campus in Zurich. Those interested in applying their backgrounds in ecology, evolution, and genomics to the goals of the center are encouraged to apply. The following topical areas are emphasized:
(1) Genomics of ecologically relevant traits
(2) Eco-evolutionary dynamics of species interactions
(3) Evolutionary responses to changing environments.
Projects can range from the theoretical to empirical, and must be conducted in collaboration with ETH faculty participating in ACE (see website).
Postdoctoral positions are for two years and must commence before summer 2017. Work-related interactions will be in English.
Requirements includea PhD degree in ecology, evolution, bioinformatics or a closely related discipline, high-quality publications, fluency in English, and good communication skills.
For further information
about the position, please contact Prof. Dr. Jonathan Levine by email: email@example.com(no applications) and visit our website www.adaptation.ethz.ch.
We are looking forwardto receive your online application including a research statement, one to two paragraphs describing how your research interests relate to the center and associated faculty, a curriculum vitae, and the contact information for three references. Please address it to: ETH Zurich, Mr. Olivier Meyrat, Human Resources, CH-8092 Zurich.
