It is used by around 50 groups worldwide. The task is to further accelerate the system by exploring the possibilities of GPUs in the first instance. The researcher will design, implement and test the new capabilities considering where relevant the latest behavioural insights into travel behaviour. S/he will also support the application/development of the system in relevant planning studies. Here the focus will be on autonomous vehicles, additional traffic flow models, individualized behavioural parameters, modelling of the vehicle fleet and the interaction between urban form and energy consumption.
