PhD position - Accelerated Magnetic Resonance Imaging
The research projectaims at developing linear and non-linear Magnetic Resonance image reconstruction approaches to reconstruct perfusion images and maps from highly undersampled data. Since data acquisition in-vivo is performed during free-breathing of the subject, appropriate motion correction schemes need to be devised and implemented. Cartesian as well as non-Cartesian data sampling trajectories will be explored and optimized. The work will be conducted in close collaboration with partners at hospitals guaranteeing access to clinically relevant cases.
The candidate holdsa Master of Science degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering or physics with first class grades. He/she should present with a keen interest in biomedical imaging physics, signal and data processing, experimental and clinical applications of cutting-edge imaging technology. Very good programming skills (Matlab, C) and interest in both theoretical and practical work are a premise. An innovative spirit and team player skills round off the profile.
