The Riek Group in the Laboratory for Physical Chemistryis a multifaceted research team with a focus on the structure-activity relationships and mechanisms of proteins using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy as a main method. We have an open position for a
PhD student in rational drug design
The scientific workwill focus on the determination of enzyme structural landscapes with the goal of elucidating the mechanisms of protein allostery in the action of enzymes. Expertise in solution state NMR and protein biochemistry is of advantage.
We are lookingfor a highly motivated candidate with a solid background in organic chemistry to carry out independent research. Because the project is interdisciplinary in nature, anyone with a Masters or Diploma in the physical or life sciences is invited to apply.
