We Offer
 
  • An interesting and challenging job opening as Legal Counsel within a highly motivated team in a dynamic and evolving environment as part of the General Counsel division, based at Uetlihof in Zurich
  • Opportunity to work closely with Credit Suisse’s Front Offices and Credit Risk Professionals in all legal matters relevant for lending transactions, including structured bespoke finance transactions such as acquisition finance, syndicated loans, special and single stock lombard as well as related risk transfer transactions
  • Drafting, negotiating and reviewing of loan documentations including security agreements (e.g. guarantees, letters of credit, pledges, security assignments, insurances) and implementation of regulatory and legal changes into the relevant legal framework
  • Provision of proactive and day-to-day legal advice to the Bank's relationship managers and product specialists, in particular with respect to business, contract and property law matters
  • Instruction of and cooperation with national and international law firms as well as assessment of legal opinions
  • Interaction with the Bank's other legal and compliance teams on various levels in Switzerland and abroad
  • Participation in projects in connection with lending transactions

You Offer
 
  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in legal matters whereof 3 to 5 years in the financial services industry, a finance or corporate development department and/or a business law firm, preferably with a focus on (financing) transactions
  • Master degree in Law and admission to the bar in Switzerland, ideally with a postgraduate qualification from a US/UK law school (e.g. LL.M.) if master degree is not from there; familiarity with Swiss law is an asset
  • Excellent command of written and spoken German and English, fluency in French is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a high willingness to perform, reliability, integrity, quick grasp and precise working style
  • Open, flexible and team oriented attitude as well as perseverance and the ability to work efficiently and independently
