Product Specialist for alternative and quant strategies
Function/Position objectives
Contribute to the distribution / facilitation of J. Safra Sarasin alternative and quant investment solutions to Private Banking and Institutional Client departments. This role combines the technical skills of an investment professional with the communication and business development skills of an investment consultant.
  • Build and manage extensive knowledge of alternative/quant investment funds
  • Regularly liaise with portfolio managers to understand the latest developments in the portfolios
  • Understand and explain investment philosophy, process, performance drivers and reasons for underperformance by product to the different channels
  • Represent portfolio managers where appropriate to present product strategy to clients
  • Provide investment content to create and enhance sales & marketing material
  • Content contribution for RfI/RfPs
  • In general, point of contact for Client Relationship Managers in regards to investment related questions
  • University degree, preferably with CFA qualification
  • Minimum 10 years of investment experience in the financial industry, e.g. portfolio manager, fund research
  • Understanding of investments with a proven track record in advisory / sales / and/or managing assets
  • Ability to build relationships across the organization, work in the team as well as independently and deliver results within tight deadlines
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), German and French an asset
