The Laboratory of Molecular and Chemical Biology of Neurodegeneration, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne Switzerland is seeking for
Two Laboratory technicians
The two positions are available immediately in the Laboratory of Chemical Molecular Biology of Neurodegeneration ( http://lashuel-lab.epfl.ch/) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland ( www.epfl.ch). The selected candidates will join an multidisciplinary and dynamic research team working to bring to bear the powers of chemistry, biology, biophysics and technology to develop novel research tools and advance global efforts to develop new diagnostic and therapies for neurodegenerative diseases such Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic laboratory technicians with expertise in at least one of the following areas; 1) chemical synthesis; 2) protein production and purification; 3) molecular biology; 4) cell culture; 5) animal handling and experimentation. Candidates with extensive expertise in one of these areas and strong commitment to expanding their knowledge and expertise in the other areas are encouraged to apply. Research in the Lashuel lab is funded by several international funding agencies and foundations, including the Swiss National Science Foundation, European FP7 program (Marie Curie and ERC grants), Human Science Frontiers, Cure the Huntington’s disease foundation (CHDI) and Michael J Fox foundation and is supported by collaborations with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, including AC Immune and UCB.
