Open position: post-doctoral position in the field of Mass Spectrometry and Biomarker Discovery
A post-doctoral position in the field of Mass Spectrometry and Biomarker Discovery is available immediately in the Laboratory of Chemical Molecular Biology of Neurodegeneration(lashuel-lab.epfl.ch)at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland(www.epfl.ch).
The applicant must have a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry or Chemistry with a strong publication record and demonstrated experience in the following areas; targeted and quantitative mass spectrometry using LC-MS/MS and triple quadrupole MS systems, immunoprecipitation (IP), as well as conventional biochemical techniques for the analysis of human samples including plasma and CSF. Additional experience in protein biochemistry is a plus.
The selected candidate will work on a “Michael J. Fox Foundation”funded project, aimed at analysing human CSF samples for biomarkers of Parkinson’s disease. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist with a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry or Chemical Biology. The selected candidate will also work in close collaboration with the Proteomics Core Facility (http://pcf-ptp.epfl.ch/).
