We are a Life Science and IT service provider that has been successfully carrying out ‘state-of-the- art’ projects for international customers for more than 20 years. Our consultants mainly work on our customer’s premises, integrated in the customer’s project team.

This is a temporary position. Candidates will have to be temporarily employed at wega Informatik AG.

We are looking for a Business Analyst / Programmer who contributes to a global team that is accelerating biological science. The ideal candidate is a biological information scientist or a Java developer with a solid scientific background. Position is planned for minimum 1 year.


  • A background in natural sciences (Bachelor, Masters or PhD in biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, chemistry, physics, or pharmacy) and / or Computer Science
  • At least two years of experience developing and supporting Java software with Spring and Oracle Databases
  • Experience with Maven, Tomcat, Hibernate, Jira, FishEye, React,js/Redux.js, Confluence, SVN, CID (Continuous Integration) is a big plus
  • Good written, visual, verbal, and online communication skills (English a must, German a plus)
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to learn new skills as needed

The following additional qualifications would be an advantage:

  • Fundamental principles for web application development
  • Java/Javascript intercommunication and Javascript API development
  • Javascript MVVM frameworks (knockout, angular)
  • Formal experience as a Business Analyst
  • Wet lab experience in a molecular biology lab
