Head of Platform Services & Public-Private Cooperation, Future of the Digital Economy and Society

The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation.
The World Economic Forum has aligned its activities through a portfolio of system initiatives to accelerate progress in tackling the most significant global challenges through sustained public-private collaboration. As a principal contributor to evolution and growth in the global economy over the past decades, the internet continues to have the potential to propel societies, help business leaders develop innovative business models and help governments address legitimate policy concerns related to a networked future as long as the essential integrity of the digital ecosystem remains intact. Shaping the Future of the Digital Economy and Society addresses the most pertinent business and societal issues from a policy and governance perspective by establishing a platform for mutual understanding, trust and collective action.
As the World Economic Forum continues to evolve to provide a neutral platform to catalyse cooperation among its constituents, the System Initiative on the Future of the Digital Economy and Society is in need of a platform services development head. The successful candidate will build and develop the services provided to constituents to support their goals to collaborate on specific, impactful outcomes. Such collaboration may take the form of large programmes in partnership with other international organizations/large bodies or as smaller, multistakeholder virtual teams that coalesce to deliver defined outputs within a set time period.

• Public-Private Cooperation
o In collaboration with subject leads, define and manage governance and agreements with systemically large, important public-private cooperation efforts and partnerships with other international organizations, not-for-profit institutions, business and government
o Identify potential funding needs and opportunities on behalf of different external parties. In collaboration with Forum colleagues, manage a pipeline of donor and fundraising opportunities
o Oversee a performance measurement framework to track progress
This role would also contribute to broader team efforts as follows:
• Communication and Community Management
o Work with communication leads and community management leads to share and communicate key opportunities, developments, milestones and successes
o Ensure that team and constituent base are informed on opportunities, practices and guidelines for establishing and running collaborative efforts
• Cross-system contribution
o Represent the System Initiative in all community management discussions
o Drive harmonization of content and sharing of best practice across all the systems While this role is currently based within the Digital Economy and Society team, there is potential for it to evolve to providing broader support to other System Initiatives.
