Joining a busy team of six as an Associate, this position will provide opportunities for a young, dynamic and experienced accountant or financial controller to work on a variety of control environment review topics as well as Swiss and US financial regulatory and accounting matters. The role offers interaction with different regions, and exposure to management. It will be based in Geneva with reporting to the Controller.  Tasks will include, but not limited to:
  • Maintaining the integrity of the Financial Statement and control environment review
  • Ownership of the General Ledger Reconciliation and Substantiation process within the team
  • Responsibilities in the End of Month closing process and coordination
  • Responsible for performing Income Statement variance analysis
  • Contribution to Swiss regulatory reporting submissions
  • Engaged in the financial audit preparation under local GAAP
  • Financial Regulatory Reporting preparation and interaction with Corporate Finance Teams
  • Involvement in tax return preparation (e.g. Corporate Income Tax return)

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Banking or Financial Services as an accountant, financial controller or audit experience (from Bank, Big Four or equivalent)
  • Accounting or Financial degree strongly preferred
  • Knowledge in banking and investment products
  • Good knowledge of regulatory environment
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Strong team-player, able to manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines
  • Roll up sleeves approach and an open-minded
  • Flexible and committed attittude- not afraid of some long hours
  • Experienced with Excel/Access skills required
  • Fluent English; French a very strong plus
