Currently, we are seeking for a timely limited contracting assignment, a Health Economic ManagerRef. No. 26517, estimated starting date November 2016 until End of October 2018 (4176h / 40h a week), with possible extension, who would be a part of the team at one of our customer in Zug.


The Health Economic Manager develops and leads a Global Health Economics (GHE) value-evidence strategy for either an customer internal pipeline asset or Marketed Product.

Key Activities:

  • Contribute to an integrated, global research program to support the product(s), in alignment with the strategy: ie Study Protocols, Health Economics Tools, Products Value Propositions, Global Value Dossiers, Publications (Abstracts, Posters, Manuscripts)
  • Tracks and executes the GHE plan and delivers against goals
  • Coordinates product and project activities
  • Designs all areas of existing data studies, develops or approves research project plans and oversees execution
  • Develops and communicates the Global Value Dossier (GVD) and final value propositions and validates that the regional dossiers are consistent with the GVD
  • Designs or approves GHE-related aspects such as statistical analysis plan (SAP) of observational studies and interventional trials and consults on study execution
  • Consults on the strategic and tactical plan for GHE publications and the Global Publication Plan
  • Prepares GHE publications for dissemination following Publication SOP
  • Develops or consults on global reimbursement strategy and value proposition for payers
  • Selects and works with study vendors
  • Contributes to defining and executing GHE Evidence Generation activities for appointed product(s)
  • Support Countries Submissions Dossiers, HTA and Pricing activities aligned with Product Access and Reimbursement strategy
  • Works in the matrix and interface with Cross-Functional Teams
  • Key Relationships: GHE Product Leads, Affiliate Access, HE, Medical, CfOR, Biostats, External: KOLs, External: Vendors, Consultants, GPL, , Decision Making Authority,
  • Lead selected sub-projects and assisting at overall project level: Timelines and milestones within individual projects, Day-to-day project management


Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Degree
  • OR Master's Degree & 3-5 years of outcomes research experience
  • OR Bachelor's Degree & 5 years of outcomes research experience
  • OR Associate's degree & 5+ years of outcomes research experience
  • OR High school diploma/GED & 10 years of outcomes research experience


  • Track record of designing and implementing studies in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or public health in industry, government, hospital, CRO or academia
  • Prior leadership experience with clinical and scientific studies in the areas of Outcomes Research or Epidemiology
  • Demonstrated experience of communicating study information
  • Successful performance in cross-functional teams and complex organizational environments
  • Track record of scientific publications knowledge
  • Technical and scientific knowledge in economics research methodology applied to healthcare, epidemiology and/or Health Service Research
  • Knowledge of European regulatory approvals, drug development and pricing and reimbursement strategies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters, PharmD or PhD in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Health Services Research
  • Experience in global outcomes research including dossier submissions for reimbursement
  • Experience in PRO/HRQOL research including questionnaire design, evaluation, and/or analysis
  • Experience developing pharmacoeconomic models
  • Experience working with consumers of outcomes information
  • Knowledge of epidemiology, economics, psychometrics and medical writing
