Biosimilars EU Lead Value, Access & Policy

We are currently seeking a


to join our regional VA&P team with focus on the development and launch of our biosimilars pipeline across all therapeutic areas.

Develops the foundation for access planning related to the new BBU (Biosimilars Business Unit), including situation analysis, creation of access strategies, identification of critical success factors, among other activities, and is accountable for the execution of regional plans
Leads and coordinates cross functional activities with business partners related to BS on the regional VAP team and the BBU
Partners with Pricing Team, on the development of pricing guidance and price maintenance relative to access, recommendations for price bands and launch sequence
Responsible for access assumptions in regional revenue forecasts across the biosimilar portfolio
Develops goals for the regional VAP BS area of responsibility and is accountable for aligning these with the BBU
Partners with the global and regional Policy teams to represent Amgen externally: identifies and engages with key access and reimbursement opinion leaders advocating for our products, attending relevant congresses, conferences and engages with relevant trade and industry organizations
Develops access plans for products across the biosimilar portfolio, integrating coverage and reimbursement, pricing, value evidence and policy

Doctorate degree & 6 years of directly related experience
Master’s degree & 8 years of directly related experience
Bachelor’s degree & 10 years of directly related experience
Strong knowledge in the EU Biosimilars Market (ideally combined with launch experience)
Direct payer experience and/or experience in product commercialization desirable
Regional or global experience strongly preferred
Strategic planning and health policy experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of payer and government environment in the region, including such areas as coverage and reimbursement, pricing and contracting, value drivers, formulary management, health technology assessment, HTA policy, advocacy and government affairs/public policy.
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and country Value, Access & Policy teams. Be able to engage in productive debate and collaboration with senior leaders across the organization
Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and succeed in a highly matrixed environment
Strong oral/written presentation skills
Strong strategic planning skills—both at the product level as well as at the country (cross-portfolio) level
Ability to conduct situation analysis of external environment and to synthesize relevant information for regional strategies and to support development of country-specific strategic plans
Ability to identify the most compelling way in which to demonstrate and communicate product value to payers
