Business Planning & Analysis Senior Manager - Biosimilars

We are currently searching for a Business Planning & Analysis Senior Manager to join our Biosimilars Team in our European Headquarter in Zug, Switzerland.

The main purpose of this role is to deliver market and sales analysis in support of audience and product needs to maximize Int’l brand value, to perform business analysis, deliver insights (primary market research and competitive intelligence) and recommendations and moreover to coordinate the diagnostic process relative to the allocated brand. The job holder collaborates closely with the Biosimilar Brand team, the Finance department, Value & Access and Pricing as well as our Affiliates and reports to the Head of Business Planning & Analysis.

Developing – together with the Brand Teams – market and sales analyses in support of the product strategy
Coordinating the development of regional product plans in accordance with the European and Global planning process
Evaluate opportunity and risk of different product strategies, programs and tactics (e.g. evaluates lifecycle opportunities)
Support licensing evaluations
Ensure that marketing assumptions are appropriately linked to sales performance metrics and targets within the affiliates
Liaise with Pricing to develop pricing models and analyses inc. regional inputs to global pricing strategies, pricing models etc.
Drive primary Market Research and maximize utilization of all available secondary data sources in support of audience/product
Develop/maintain an appropriate regional forecasting model and approach and help communicate this to affiliates and support the affiliates in further development and use of this model
Coordinate the Diagnostic Process and drive the brand related analysis feeding into the monthly Performance Review by the International Management Committee
Build Amgen’s capability in market analysis and insights
Coordinate and facilitate CI collection efforts at major congresses
Manage a network of primary data sources, including vendors and Amgen employees, to enable effective project execution

4 year University Degree
2-3 years of market analysis and/ or business planning experience with a successful track record, demonstrable results and:
– at least 1 year experience in the bio-pharma industry
– at least 1 year conducting market analysis and/or financial models
– proven experience in competitive analysis and or forecasting
Technically proficient in a market analysis and forecasting:
– design of forecasting models
– knowledge frameworks for qualitative competitive analysis, forecasting and
analytical tools
Documented experience in Franchise area (Biosimilars)
Record of success in participation on and in supporting teams
Fluency in English, both oral and written communications

Advanced degree(s) in business and/or science
>3 years of pharmaceutical market analysis and/or business planning experience
Market Analysis and/or Business Planning in more than one European country
Working knowledge (regulatory, pricing, reimbursement, healthcare practice, health systems) of major European healthcare markets
Technically proficient in many/all core areas of the discipline of pharmaceutical marketing
Experience in product licensing and partnership evaluations
Fluency in multiple languages
