Help your customers, build our business

As our new Account Manager in the US you’ll have the exciting challenge of building the business for this leading open-source CMS and our complementary services. You are the important link between our customers and our team and you’ll be responsible for developing long-term relationships with our customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. You’ll liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs. This is done because you participate in RFI’s and RFP’s, coordinate the project team, determine cost estimates and project plans, proactively inform about current status and manage the entire communication with all involved parties as well as control and monitor progress externally and internally. In this position you can expect versatile and demanding projects and will have the freedom to organise your own work and the manner in which you perform it, but you'll also have to meet timelines and budgets.

You should be comfortable to work remotely and perform independently. You’ll have full support of more than 30 team members in different locations and participate in regular video calls with the team.

The role allows you to leverage your experience in project management, your entrepreneurial attitude and sales power to reap the opportunities in the market. Serving django CMS customers and their success is the core of our company, and your role is essential in delivering this experience to our customers. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, a strong drive, a passion for sales and customer experience, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Sell the full suite of Divio’s CMS, Cloud Service and Service solutions to organisations, enterprises and agencies.
  • Build a robust pipeline of opportunities in the territory.
  • Develop strong relationships with prospects and customers to identify their needs.
  • Use a consultative approach and build a position as a trusted advisor.
  • Orchestrate (e.g. define, plan, budget, coordinate) and track customer projects.
What You'll Need to Succeed

Next to being a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset you will need:

  • A proven track record in client-facing digital account and project management and experience within an agency environment or in working with enterprises and digital agencies as clients.
  • Proven experience in devising and selling digital products and services and in handling web projects and applications.
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating customer relationships, securing sales opportunities and hitting business goals.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
  • Profound working knowledge of digital production processes, background in the web/cloud software environment is a plus.
  • The ability to keep track of many subjects at the same time, to work independently and a structured approach to documenting, planning and managing accounts.
  • A positive, self-reliant mindset with a can-do spirit, able to gain strong buy-in with internal teams and manage escalations to deliver great results.
  • Conceptual understanding of Internet technologies and a passion for the benefits they bring.
  • Confident, clear and engaging written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Empathy and understanding for the various stakeholders and the challenges they encounter.
  • A BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university.
  • The ability to travel nationally to attend internal and external meetings, conferences and other industry events, up to 40% of time worked.

Furthermore, applicants must have a valid permit to work in the US.

In addition to being part of an inspiring team and having the opportunity to contribute your own unique skills and expertise, you‘ll join a company that actively supports its employees’ professional development. And, of course, we’ll have fun travelling together, as we actively sponsor and attend conferences like PyCon US and DjangoCon EU.
