Main Responsibilities / Activities

Overall Description of the Job
Primarily engaged in the installation and service in the field including installation, troubleshooting, training, machine validation and in-house service for Hapa customers in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico and other support and service related activities, as required.

Essential Duties
-Troubleshooting and commissioning mechanical machinery and electrical control systems.

-Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.

\n

-Performing field installations and providing training at client facilities.
-Troubleshooting equipment through phone support to clients.
-Creating and organizing documentation and reports for clients and office personnel.
-Travel to customer sites, often with little notice
-Interact with customer to explain issues and offer solutions

Travel requirements
-Travel up to 100%, travel is generally Monday through Friday

Additional requirements and information:
-Occasional work on off-shifts at customer site
-Travel to Switzerland for initial training for a period of 4-5 weeks.
-Frequent overtime or working more than 8 hours a day.
-Travel periodically to Switzerland for updated training

-Industrial printing machines, preferably flexographic printing machines

\n

-Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows platform, Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and file management.

\n

-Ability to perform preventative or corrective maintenance on robotics systems and components

\n

-Background in Form/Fill/Seal Thermoforming, Strip Packaging or Printing preferred.

\n

\n

-Ability to read and understand schematics, assembly drawings, and service manuals.

\n

-Ability to make rational decisions under pressure to ensure customer satisfaction. 

\n

-Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions

-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

\n

-Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

\n

-Ability to support technical questions and concerns via customer phone contact

\n

-Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events

\n

-Strong drive toward quality and customer satisfaction

-Minimum three (3) years related service/installation experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment/company, focused on mechanical and electrical trouble shooting of industrial flexographic printing machines and experience dealing directly with the customer.

-Associates technical degree or higher preferred, technical certification or equivalent industry-specific experience.

\n

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
-Current driver’s license
-Passport
