To manage the ever more demanding requirements of virtual presence, our clients need software which is open to change, open to work for anybody and open to grow. We’re looking for someone who is ready to jump in with both feet and answer business and project related questions in a straightforward way. Generating new business, taking chances; if that’s you, great!

You will be strengthening the Magnolia Sales team in Basel, Switzerland with your project management skills, preferably in the content management industry. Your prior roles have given you a good understanding of what client needs are and how clients run projects internally to be successful. We need a go-getter, but you’re going to do more than just reach out to new clients. We want you to become partners with our existing and potential clients to help them execute their goals. With a consultative approach, you will show them how Magnolia can help make their day-to-day business smoother and more profitable.   • Identify and develop new business opportunities and target leads
  • Develop and maintain strong customer connections
  • Identify customer needs and project characteristics to support clients
  • Respond to inbound queries of our customers via phone, web conference and e-mail
  • Present Magnolia to prospective customers primarily through web demonstrations, but also through phone conferences and on-site presentations
  • Engage in accurate forecasting and CRM activities to effectively prospect and generate new customer leads and manage the existing customer base and pipeline
  • Actively participate and network with professionals in the Open Source and CMS community to stay on top of industry trends and share your knowledge with others
  • Travel as necessary to conduct field presentations and related activities (typically 25% travel away from office)


What we are looking for

  • 5+ years of recent and relevant project management experience in a web-oriented company, selling related enterprise-class products and projects
  • Technologically savvy, broad know-how of CMS, web technologies and related products
  • Experience in selling cloud based products or solutions is very welcome
  • Proven ability to win business and establish positive long-term customer relationships and satisfaction
  • Highly adaptable and independent, self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • A can-do attitude, excellent presentation skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Native German is a must, other languages are always welcome
