We are looking for a team leader for our translation unit (3 staff members). Within this role you will manage the operations of the translation team in addition to preparing high-quality translations of communication, institutional and technical documents from English to French(and occasionally French to English).
You have a minimum of five years’ experience translating from English to French in both technical and communication domains.
With proven leadership skills, you know how to get the best out of people. You remain calm under pressure and will support your team through difficult periods. You confidently distinguish between “urgent” and “important” and are prepared to refuse or delay projects when the need arises.
You are also comfortable using technology, tools and applications related to translation and are curious about, and engaged with, developments in this area. Capable of working independently, you are a good team player with a positive and proactive outlook.
Education and language skills
The successful candidate must have a university-level education in translation. He or she should be French mother tongue with a perfect command of English.
