Senior Datawarehouse Engineer (DWH) Job – Bank – Zürich, Switzerland

Are you an experienced datawarehouse (DWH) engineer? Have you worked extensively with IBM DB2? Are you an expert in data loading and data transformation and related technologies like ETL and SQL? Do you have solid professional experiences in data analytics? If so, this could be the perfect job for you.
Our client, a highly-regarded top tier bank, is looking for a DWH Engineer to work in their Delivery Unit Analytic Sourcing team in Zürich. You will be responsible for developing software components in accordance with the SDLC, integrating data into larger subsystems, and designing and maintaining data warehouse applications. The datawarehouse platform is based on a large DB2 database, and as such, deep professional experience with DB2 is absolutely critical for this role.
A key focus of this role is data analytics in the database environment. Accordingly, experience with data mining, data loading, and data transformation are very important. Experience on the AIX operating system is essential. Professional experience with scripting languages like Unix Shell are highly advantageous, but related scripting languages would also be of use. Fluent English is mandatory, as well as the ability to work in Switzerland.
The ideal personality profile will be a motivated person, a strong team player but able to work independently, have excellent communication skills, a deeply analytical thinker, and be passionate about bringing systems to life.
