EDUCATIONAL EXPERT

Our small dynamic and international team is looking for a highly motivated colleague to join us in our unique work environment where we use Holacracy as a way to govern ourselves.

Ideal profile:

  • Prior experience in institutional accreditation in business schools (AACSB, AAQ, EQUIS)
  • Prior experience in program management of business programs
  • Prior experience in working with high-schools and fairs internally to recruit students
  • Well-structured approach and ability to prioritize tasks and propose solutions
  • Able to work autonomously in a small team environment
  • Ability to think “outside the box” and to lead and manage change, as well as the recruiting and admissions processes of the school

 

Description of Key Activities:

BSL is organized as a self-organizing institution in a distributed power framework. We define the work we do in roles and related accountabilities and here we are looking for an Educational Expert to take on the following three roles:

Role: The Accreditation Expert (40%)                                                                                                                    

Purpose: BSL is accredited and recognized where our stakeholders want us to be

-          Planning, scheduling and executing the various accreditation related deliverables in the required intervals

-          Remaining abreast of continues updates and changes in the accreditation standards

-          Safeguarding and ensuring that BSL policies and contracts are aligned with accreditation statements in an continuous manner

-          Maintaining an excellent relationship with accreditation relevant stakeholders

-          Issuing self-reports and managing audits by involving required internal support professionally

-          Planning the ebbs and lows so that the activities of this role have more continuity rather than high intensity periods and total non-activity

-          Aligning accreditations with other quality control systems (ISO, etc.) and ensuring cohesion

Role: Program Management – Bachelor, Master (30%)                                                                                 

Purpose: Maximum value for BSL company, Students and Faculty through great administration of academic programs

-          Ensuring a fair and just program for all students

-          Safeguarding the school policies by using the policy books as reference point and dealing with exceptions responsibly, efficiently and effectively

-          Liaising with program coordinators to align actions and communications to students

-          Mediating between students and faculty if needed

-          Engaging actively the Student Council in a regular feedback/loop communication

-          Ensuring all courses are taught by the best Faculty available, following a consultative process with all stakeholders involved

-          Presenting the academic programs at open days and webinars

Role: Outreach Bachelor & Master programs (30%)                                                                                        

Purpose: Identifying and leveraging multipliers to attract super students

-          Creating and maintaining a high profile with private international high schools globally

-          Developing, maintaining and supporting a highly productive agency network globally

-          Continuously identifying and engaging with new multipliers for our programs and enabling them to promote our programs to their audience

-          Generating a value-added experience for high potential multiplier partners

-          Offering relevant webinars on a regular basis for audiences around the world

 

Background & experience:

  • PhD in business studies or equivalent
  • Track record in working on institutional accreditation matters in a business school
  • At least 3-5 years’ work experience in a similar position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (other languages are of advantage)
  • Proficiency in MS-Office Applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience with data and customer management programs such as CRM Salesforce
