Based in salesforce's Morges office (Switzerland), the Corporate Counsel will play a key role in supporting Salesforce's EMEA Sales and Professional Services organizations in structuring commercial transactions and drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, as part of the EMEA Commercial Legal team.

  • Negotiate and draft master subscription agreements, professional services agreements and other commercial agreements with customers in support of the Sales and Professional Services organizations in the Benelux and Emerging Territories.
  • Partner with revenue recognition, sales operations, technology operations, and other stakeholder teams to ensure agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes.
  • Negotiate partner agreements in collaboration with Alliances Counsel in US.
  • Provide legal and commercial support in relation to existing contracts and provide support in the event of any disputes.
  • Assist in developing training materials and provide training to the business on relevant topics such as the contracting process or data privacy.
  • Actively contribute to the EMEA Commercial Legal team in the ongoing development of knowledge, skills and processes.
Required Skills/Experience
  • Legal qualification in a European jurisdiction, with a strong preference for Dutch and/or Belgian qualification.
  • Fluent English required plus other languages (particularly Dutch and/or French) highly desirable.
  • 3 to 12 years combined experience in law firm and/or in-house legal department
  • 3 + years negotiating and drafting technology agreements and professional services agreements.
  • Substantive expertise in data privacy and intellectual property law.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly responsive and service-oriented attitude.
  • Team spirit and collaborative attitude.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines, in a high velocity, rapidly evolving and demanding work environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with demanding internal clients
  • Experience in and/or knowledge of US software and internet industries, including US revenue recognition a plus, especially in Cloud Computing.
