Are you looking for a challenging internship in Corporate Communications? The Corporate Communications Team of Amcor Group GmbH, located in Zurich-Oerlikon, is offering a full-time internship to a motivated student who is close to the end of his/her studies or recently graduated, and is interested in the Corporate Communications function of a large international company. Amcor is a global packaging company that employs 29,000+ co-workers in over 42 countries.


The Zurich Head Office is the Global Corporate Centre and Head Office to two Business Groups

within Amcor. General Information


  • The start date for this internship is September 2016
  • The duration will be at least 3 months
  • You will report to the Corporate Communications Manager, Zurich Office, but daily work may also be directed by other managers within the Corporate Communications team

Job description

  • Community managing Amcor’s social media presence
  • Liaising with the content agency on management of the global content calendar
  • Responsibility for monitoring and reporting on Amcor’s external communications presence (media and social media reporting).
  • Managing Amcor’s asset library including metadata, archiving and approved assets
  • Writing and sourcing content for Amcor’s global e-newsletter Accent Online in line with global editorial calendar
  • Support and coordinate the CEO Outperformance Awards program including announcement of winners, events and case study development for best practice learning
  • Responsibility for sending internal announcements and managing global distribution lists
  • Responsible for content updates on Amcor corporate intranet and online collaboration workspace
  • Responsible for content updates on Amcor corporate presentations including financial data, maps, capabilities, organisational charts and corporate programs and initiatives
  • Writing and sourcing content for Amcor’s social media channels


Qualifications / Requirements

  • Relevant undergraduate qualifications (journalism/communications / marketing)
  • Excellent written, verbal and aural skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong computer skills and software knowledge including Microsoft Office suite, Sharepoint and photoshop
  • Effectively manages multiple projects and priorities
  • Works well under pressure
  • Ability to operate in a global environment and successfully navigate cross cultural differences
  • Detail oriented, demonstrate capacity to take initiative.
