Area Sales Manager Traction Systems

ABB’s competence center in Turgi, near Zurich and Baden, has a leading position in the development, production, and sale of traction converters. Our portfolio spans traction and onboard converters that range from just a few kW to several MW. These products are used worldwide in rapid transit railway systems, locomotives, subway trains, trams, and other rail vehicles. A successful sale of these products and systems is based on competent communications with OEMs (system integrators) as well as with the system operators. Support our team with your expertise as Area Sales Manager (m/f).

Aufgaben:
- Represent and sell the entire product portfolio of ABB Traction, complex traction systems (entire traction chain incl. other related electrical components), traction- and onboard converters, spare parts and service contracts (international market)
- Assume budget responsibility for order income in defined markets
- Take charge of commercial and technical processing of sales projects, supported by respective internal experts
- Proactively service your customers
- Maintain existing customer relations and acquire new customers within the defined area
- Manage the entire sales process cooperating with our specialists from the engineering and legal department to ensure a competent technical and commercial customer service
Anforderungen:
- Higher degree in electrical engineering plus completed additional studies in industrial engineering
- Knowledge of the railway market is essential
- Pronounced knowledge in power electronics or drive technology for railway vehicles beneficial
- Active and successful sales talent used to working independently to reach ambitious objectives
- Customer-oriented communication skills
- English is a must, good command of German beneficial; further languages are an asset
