Research Associate (m/f) in condition based and predictive maintenance of energy and transportation systems (80-100%)
As a successful candidate you will contribute your expertise to our applied research projects in the field of condition based and predictive maintenance of energy and transportation systems. Your tasks will include:
- Developing, evaluating and implementing procedures, analytical models and algorithms for detection, diagnostics and prognostics of impending failures for energy and transportation systems based on operation, condition monitoring and failure data
- Combining engineering knowledge with predictive analytics
- Developing approaches for systems with scarce data on system condition
- Executing and taking responsibility of R&D activities in cooperation with our industrial partners
We are looking for applicants with degree (MSc or PhD) in engineering, applied mathematics or physics. Experience in condition based and predictive maintenance is beneficial. Programming experience is required; preferably in Matlab or python. Fluent command of English (both written and spoken) is mandatory and knowledge in German is beneficial. We encourage applications from proactive and self-motivated candidates with strong problem solving abilities, good communication skills and out-of-the-box thinking.
