Mövenpick’s German speaking Swiss properties is looking for an experienced, commercial and analytical Cluster Director of Revenue Management.

You will maximize hotel revenue by leading the strategic and tactical Commercial initiatives for the German speaking Swiss cluster (3 properties: Zurich Airport, Egerkingen, Zurich Regensdorf) in coordination with the respective properties Director of Sales & Marketing. You will dynamically optimize revenue through pricing& inventory control levels, create promotions, and explore new distribution opportunities. You will own the implementation of the business plan and product strategy. Key responsibilities

  • Support the hotels commercial and strategic business planning process in coordination with the respective properties General Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing
  • Participate and prepare rolling forecast and annual budget for each property using Opera, IDeaS and forecasting tools like Revintel
  • Develop near and long term top-line revenue (rooms and non-rooms) hotel forecasts upon request from the Management
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust sales and pricing strategies
  • Ensure that all commercial systems related applications are maintained including PMS (Opera), RMS (IDeaS), CRS (Synxis), GDS and other 3rd party electronic channels (extranet/channel manager) as per MHR standards
  • Independently implements appropriate hotel inventory distribution strategy; maintains accurate rates and inventory allotments in the various commercial systems and property management system in a timely manner to promote rate parity throughout all booking channels
  • Maintain distribution channel data integrity
  • Load all preferred, consortia and promotional rates in GDS and PMS
  • Spearheads troubleshooting and resolution of any GDS rate loading issues as they occur
  • Manage and maintain group and transient inventory controls
  • Manage all aspects of rate & inventory management as outlined in the services contract
  • Provide critical analysis of strategies, room\'s statistics and demand factors
  • Conduct competitive and demand analysis
  • Analyze independently and determines whether hotel is effectively marketing itself across electronic distribution channels
  • Ensure that all rooms statistics reports, including the Financial statement, and any other related reports are accurate and consistent
  • Chair and prepare Weekly Strategy Meeting to maintain communication of strategies and need periods
  • Prepare the monthly revenue report and attends the regular Quarterly Management Meetings
  • Perform revenue management services for a selected group of hotels
  • Leads Revenue assistants, providing direction on revenue management best practices, PMS/CRS/External Yield systems best practices, third party channel best practices
  • Creates and manages the training program of new hires to the revenue management team
  • Prepare training materials, training schedules, and systems training for the team members with regards to revenue management

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business or other related field
  • Good Microsoft Office Skills, especially Excel
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills are imperative as the candidate will interact remotely with hotels, interact frequently with corporate management, and will coach direct reports on revenue management best practices. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate ideas in verbal and written presentations
  • The right person for this position will have a demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and show skills in follow up, multi-tasking, leadership and accountability for team actions
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Can do attitude and ability to “Think out of the box”
