Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is seeking a Territory Account Manager to join us in Zurich, Switzerland. In this role, you will sell our leading-edge solutions and assist in strategic planning. You'll be assigned specific accounts and customers within the region and be responsible for developing account plans and acting on them in a highly competitive market. You will also build new relationships and expand business with existing customers within your assigned accounts while meeting sales quotas. We'll need you to collaborate with these accounts as well as with our strong partner landscape to discover new opportunities, use past solutions as blueprints for future success, and build relationships with C-level executives to guide technological decision making. German and English language skills are essential and French language skills would be a plus.

Primary job responsibilities
  • Sell the complete Red Hat portfolio of solutions within an assigned territory to named focus accounts, while also identifying new customers
  • Promote our Red Hat value proposition to prospective customers in a highly competitive market
  • Build and maintain an extensive network in various industries and verticals
  • Work with Red Hat business partners and system integrators in close collaboration with the Swiss Channel Sales team
  • Build a pipeline within the territory with the Territory Inside Sales team
  • Generate a stream of short sales cycle business in addition to focus account opportunities and partner accounts
  • Work with the Marketing team to generate leads and actively participate in marketing events
  • Create and maintain territory and account plans
Required skills
  • 7-10 years of experience selling complex IT solutions to large organizations and multiple decision makers
  • English and German language skills are essential, French is a plus
  • Solid understanding of the Swiss software market
  • Knowledge of middleware is a plus
  • Track record of building long-lasting customer relationships in Switzerland
  • Excellent communication and technical skills to develop relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout organizations
  • Demonstrated market knowledge and competitive knowledge opportunities
  • Proactive, hands-on approach toward solutions, markets, and clients' business challenges
  • Experience in an international software organization
  • Proven history of quota attainment
