Senior Programming Actuary

As a subsidiary of Swiss Re we are active in various European core markets. As part of our growth strategy, our office in Zurich is looking for a dynamic and motivated Senior Programming Actuary.

Your tasks

Your main task will be to develop, maintain and implement the corporate costing, pricing and reserving framework. This task consists of the further development and programming of the calculation engine which shall support the costing & pricing as well as the reserving &valuation process. Furthermore the calculation of the Solvency Capital Required under Solvency II needs to be implemented on the basis of an optimal reinsurance program. In addition, you will support the pricing for products in new markets in collaboration with the Product unit. You will have an intensive collaboration with IT to further develop the data model as well as the application landscape.

Your profile

We are looking for a highly qualified Senior Actuary (f/m) with the following profile:

  • University degree in mathematics or physics
  • Qualified actuary SAV or similar
  • Experience in programming C#/.NET, data mining (SQL) and Excel (incl. VBA)
  • At least five years of experience in various actuarial functions and solid experience in pricing
  • International knowledge in group and individual L&H business
  • Language skills: German and English
  • Team player, self-starter, able to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Good sense of humor
