Head of Buying & Merchandising (m/w)

Roles & Responsibilities:

-        Optimize company investment in stock by achieving country inventory targets, and shipment plans of existing and new stores, whilst meeting commercial targets and managing KPI’s (stock turn, markdown, sell out)

-        Promote understanding and gain buy-in to retail principles to leverage the competitive advantage of a central replenishment system to ensure optimal availability whilst minimizing mark down within store for the overall business

-        Develop and implement world class integrated retail systems (ePOS & MMS) in partnership with IT in order to plan local assortments and allocations, report and enhance achievement of KPI’s

-        Select the Retail Core Range, ensuring a commercial and innovative consumer offer in line with Brand vision through pre-season analysis, historical sales trends and assortment planning

-        Manage B&M centralization process by establishing local B&M teams and reporting lines. Ensure local know how gets transferred and daily operations continue flawlessly

-        Partner with Brand and Sales Operations to develop a strong demand- and assortment planning process. Ensure allocation to customer need – right product – right location – right time

-        Manage and develop a team to next level making sure we have the best talent

Your ideal profile:

-        5-7 years in a fashion retail merchandise position with a fashion brand or large department store/lingerie division

-        Expertise in establishing, executing and implementing merchandising planning principles and guidelines

-        Experience as project lead being able to implement systems and new processes

-        Strong people management skills - proven ability to lead and develop people

-        Inspire, lead and support European country retail merchandise buying teams

-        Results driven with ability to make decisive decisions

-        Proven performer in retail buying, forecasting and demand

-        Ability to build strong and collaborative relationships

-        Well-structured, organized and priority focused

-        English fluency spoken and written and one other European language is desired
