We are looking for a strong candidate for the position of a Key Account Manager Portfolio for our Swiss affiliate based in Pfaeffikon, SZ, Switzerland. You will be a member of a dynamic team of professionals within our Sales and Marketing organization. The position reports to the Head of Market Access & Government Affairs.
You will be responsible for:
Market insight and planning
Define and review, in collaboration with the Business Units and the Business Excellence Department, the high-value, cross-indication hospital accounts for Switzerland
Identification and prioritization of strategic (economic) topics and related needs of these accounts
Understand decision making process in defined accounts in its strategic implications to ensure the best possible and sustainable patient access
Derive opportunities for development of sustainable, differentiating partnerships with these accounts
Maintain relationships with hospital pharmacists, formulary committees/commissions and other economic stakeholders at assigned hospitals (cross-portfolio)
Responsible person for tenders and purchasing contracts (first point of contact, coordination of process with office based functions, negotiation with external parties)
Monitor adherence to agreed contracts, maintain tender history and apply learnings to future negotiations
Identify and connect to emerging, influencing (non-medical) Stakeholders in hospitals (e.g. Head Logistics, Department Pharmacist, Medical or Financial Controller, Head nursing, etc.) as well as to new players like physician networks, HMOs, purchasing groups in elderly home or rehabilitation setting, etc.
Cross-indication cooperation with relevant field and office functions to develop a customer centric, unified Takeda approach and thereby develop trusting relationships with assigned external stakeholders
What you should bring:
Strong understanding of the Swiss health care system, including strategic developments in hospital landscape and tariff systems (reimbursement of customers)
Experience in either pharmaceutical industry, or healthcare supply (hospital, public administration), health insurance or consultancy
Basic understanding of Hospital management
Solid understanding of business strategy: more business development than sales attitude
Basic understanding of sales financials and pricing
Strong customer-centric mindset
Strategicmind-set and related project management skills to drive strategic projects by persuading and inspiring external and internal stakeholders
Strong interpersonal skills, including networking and negotiation skills
Experience of working in a matrix management environment
Fluent written and spoken in either German or French plus advanced in the other language strongly preferred. Conversational (intermediate) spoken and written English mandatory.
