Overall Responsibilities

  • Strategy:In charge of the Face Care portfolio (company and brand priority). Recommendation and implementation of 360 Launch strategy for new product development as well as support/animation strategies for existing lines. Develop medium to long term strategies building innovation pipeline with breakthrough ideas encompassing new concepts, new products/ formulation innovation. Track market (Category, competition, differences among regions) to feed International strategy.
  • Category Success:Drive category growth/turnover reaching profitability/margin targets. Track launch results and issue recommendations based on ongoing learnings.
  • Team and People Management:Lead team of 2 to 3 Marketing Executives and additional interns. Grow talent developing their core skills. Stand as Face care category expert facing the organisation. Ensure success of product launches liaising with cross functional teams (Merchandising, Finance, Digital, Communication, R&D, Pack Dev, etc.) as well as closely communicating with the Regions.

Main Activities

  • Recommends 3Y launch plan and 360 strategy for his/her pillars;
  • Leads product development strategy for all his/her pillars coaching Marketing Executives on the leadership of their lines;
  • Ongoing portfolio analysis to drive growth and profitability of best sellers;
  • Enables his/her team to surpass all challenges throughout the initiative development (opens doors during difficult negotiations, influences decision makers);
  • Ensures timely launch of all initiatives in terms of product availability, following processes established with the factory;
  • Leads briefing of multifunctional team on 360 strategy and ensures it is implemented effectively liaising with all international team leaders (communication, digital, merchandising, training, CRM, etc…);
  • Communicates strategy and toolbox deployment to regions. Participates to press launches;
  • Is externally focused building and sustaining strong market knowledge: tracks key competitive launches, spends time in-store to develop key insights;
  • Motivates and engages cross functional team driving enthusiasm and support for all new launches.

Profil et compétences

Candidate Profile:

  • Product Development experience is a must (no profiles with solely operational experience will be considered);
  • Category expertise in Face Care is a must;
  • Fluent in English and French is a must. Chinese or Japanese speaking is a plus;
  • Proven track record in Brand Building and successful 360 launches in the Premium Beauty industry;
  • Proven track record of breakthrough creativity and idea generation;
  • Wholesale knowledge of cosmetic industry;
  • Superior knowledge and experience of digital;
  • Open to an international career;
  • 6 to 10 years’ experience;
  • Proven track record in managing teams;
  • Autonomous, innovative and driven;
  • Experience within a retailer brand is a very strong plus;
  • Specific Asian market experience is a plus;
  • Operational marketing experience is a plus.
