Career Start – Technology (IT) – Solution Architect

First year starting position:

  • You will be in an exciting and challenging position as Junior IT Solution Architect for the “Global Payments Program” (GPP), a global platinum program in an international and matrix-structured environment
  • You will evaluate and understand client requirements and work very closely with 3rd party software vendors, offshore providers, lead architects and business analysts
  • You will play an active role in designing decoupling of legacy components, integrating them in the new payments platform and decommissioning the rest
  • You will establish UML as a standard modeling language and apply a systematic approach to derive the system architecture from the requirements as well as to define the architecture so that it provides an input for the implementation and testing
  • You will get the opportunity to build and maintain a professional and sustainable stakeholder management both on business and IT side in a core banking area
  • You will be part of a highly motivated and multi-cultural team


In the second year the program offers you the chance to get to know a different area of IT. You can develop yourself to

You offer:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree from a university or university of applied sciences, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent education
  • Strong interest in Software Engineering roles in a large organization within the finance / banking industry
  • Conceptual skills in order to perform problem analysis and to document solution architecture options
  • Basic skills in defining and documenting Enterprise Software Architecture
  • Experience in JAVA programming language, especially in JAVA Enterprise is a plus
  • Flexibility, a proactive approach, sense of responsibility, and perseverance
  • Excellent ability to work collaboratively across cultures in a global environment
  • Fluent English language skills, preference will be given to candidates who are also fluent in German
