The Wingtra 1 is a tool that improves search & rescue chains, inspects linear infrastructure, protects large wildlife areas and increases agricultural efficiency.

Responsibilities

Together with us, you are responsible for bringing the working prototypes to a product in 2016. In order to optimize the flight capabilities of our system, we regularly test our first series drones in real-world conditions and iterate fast. In this exciting phase, you will have the opportunity to improve the performance, manufacturability and reliability of the drone. Depending on your interests, you will conduct activities in mechanical design, development for manufacturing, component evaluation and supervising external contractors. Joining the Wingtra team, you will gain a deep insight into applied robotics and you will have a personal impact on both the new technology and the organization itself.

Requirements

  • +1 year experience in product development for production in engineering consulting company or similar
  • Ability to create feasible solutions from scratch
  • Familiar with complex CAD assemblies
  • Experience in coordinating multiple suppliers for manufacturing
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering (preferable Master degree)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Honest, humble, and self-motivated

Plus

  • Experience in composites, plastic parts, software, electronics, aerodynamics
  • Brought a product from concept to manufacturing
  • Experience in supply chain build up, scaling of manufacturing, packaging and order fulfillment
  • Leadership experience in professional setting or extracurricular (sports, scouts, etc)
  • Familiarity with component testing
  • Experience with battery technology
  • You can hover an RC aerobatic airplane
