About the role

Join the Corporate Development Global Lines & High Growth Markets team and contribute to the development of Swiss Re's fast-growing division Corporate Solutions. The mandate of Corporate Development is to develop, support and execute - jointly with our business partners - all major business growth and strategic projects within Corporate Solutions.

We are looking for a motivated and energetic person to support the analysis and execution of both organic and inorganic growth initiatives as well as other various strategic projects. Your focus will be to provide analyses, support development of decision papers, business pitches and support the implementation and execution of projects across various Lines of Business. This opportunity will give you insights into Corporate Solutions' strategy, offers senior management exposure and expands your business network.

Your tasks include but are not limited to:
- Perform market/data analyses to understand and forecast market trends in the insurance industry
- Support development of business cases
- Prepare and present reports summarizing your research and facilitating business decisions
- Work in close collaboration with senior managers to identify and execute new strategic initiatives

Corporate Development is an international team with a great team spirit that serves as a strategic arm of Corporate Solutions. Our team is involved in an exciting range of projects, including developing strategic plans and roadmaps, entering new markets, launching new products, building new business capabilities, pursuing merger & acquisition opportunities and digital transformation ("Digital@CorSo").


About You

- Bachelor or Master degree
- Interest in project management, economics and financial analysis with the ability to think beyond the obvious
- Excellent analytical skills and entrepreneurial spirit
- Very good written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable, open-minded, creative and enthusiastic
- Team player who naturally brings individuals together as needed, across countries and functions
- Delivers high quality work also under pressure
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in English; other languages are an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Duration of internship: 6 months, starting March 2017
