The objectives of Customs Operations are to secure a well-functioning import and export process to support our strategic goal of having products available when customers want it. We secure a well-designed import and export process in IKEA supply chain and thereby contribute to total lowest cost. We also ensure that import and export business are conducted in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations.
About the job
You will together with Customs Operations Manager at ISAG oversee import and export activities carried out under the umbrella of IKEA Supply AG including:

  • Active safeguard compliance to internal and external rules and regulations and optimize our operations in customs
  • Taking responsibility for making sure that functional expertise is maintained and developed in the customs organization and at stakeholders.
  • Planning and management of external audits together with internal stakeholders.
  • Take a direct responsibility for security related topics in the customs area and work closely with the Risk & Compliance organization in Range & Supply.
About you
  To be successful in this role you need to have:
  • A university degree or equivalent experience within relevant field.
  • Solid experience from supply chain management, customs, international trade and global security requirements gained from a global business environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of customs, trade and security related legislations.
  • Experience in dealing with authorities.
  • Analytical and structured way of working with the ability to see the total picture and at the same time pay attention to details.
  • Proven people management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in English, both written and verbal.
